He´s going to feel like crap for a couple of weeks. Then he has to rebuild his strength and next up is regaining his prior physical prowess and stamina.
It´s totally doable in 8 weeks... but don´t fight someone obsessed with body punches

I don't think Stanionis' team really thought this out. If he were 100 he'd be going in against a killer............a couple months after appendix issues is.....................

Very cool fight and a bit of a relief given the total lack of scheduled fights among the 147lbs elite.

 Starting camp for the biggest fight of your life three weeks after having an appendectomy just seems ill-advised to me. He has to spar, do sit ups, and as you say he's fighting a serious body puncher who sports a KO 100%.

    Good to have you back

ESPN reports that the fight is postponed again, due to Ortiz' medical issues.

    Dammit.

I knew this fight was to good to be true. There is no justice in this world for a long suffering baxxin fan.

Damn man, that's like four fights I was looking forward to. First Usyk-Fury fails to get made, then Fulton-Inoue and Teraji-Gonzalez get postponed, now this. On top of that, looks like Bivol-Munguia ain't happening either.

Oh well, April and May still have some good matchups to look forward to at least. For now
