Lithuanian who makes his pro debut next week. Was very impressed with him as an amateur. European Gold medalist, Olympian who had a bad decision go against him, 5th place at the World championships. Young, strong, pressure fighter. . Interesting news that he is being trained by Freddie Roach. Roach says he's knocked out most of Miguel Cotto's sparring partners in camp for his debut.. Promoted by Schaefer. He ticks all the boxes for me as having a big future in the Welterweight division, definitely one to watch!

Kavaliauskas is also a strong Lithuanian guy in the welterweight, who I think might become a contender one day.
I've seen Stanionis name in the Amateur scene, but never watches his matches, but if he has talent like Kavaliauskas, he's worth watching.

Stanionis is really worth checking out. I think he would have won Gold at the Olympics had it not been for the judges. Stanionis vs Kavialuaskas are both from Kaunas .. I don't know how friendly they are but maybe that could be a huge all Lithuanian world title fight in the future!. I expect them both to get to world level.

After Evaldas Petrauskas looked really good at the 2012 Olympics and was the Golden Boy of Lithuanian Sport, he came back and lost to a 18 year old Stanionis in the Lithuanian National Championships.. that fight is on youtube. It was clear then that a star had arrived.

I hope they show his fight on TV in the USA, and I hope Evaldas Petrauskas goes pro soon.

Ghvamichava is a good name to have on his resume so early in his career.
