I have gve serious consideration this thread. Thats why it took so long after the pacman v clottey fight to post.joshua clottey is the true boxing fan favorite.the hard luck guy who got injured against margarito or he would have won,the guy who should have beat cotto but got cheated.(refused to let his hands go) but now is his big chance, big money fight, no injury and the opgportunity of a life time.this victory could catapult his career into multimillion dollar mega fights, make joshua clottey a household name and right the injustices he faced in the ring. With all this on the line he takes a crap both figuratively and physically. Sometimes in life man must make his luck and create his own path and clottey failed to do so. I am left to wonder if clottey is that fighter who is not as talented as us pugilist fanatics would like to believe, is he that fighter who does just enough and never goes all out thus undeserving of the praise and riches of a champion prize fighter,or is he a loyal top rank soldier who was bought and paid for by capo de tutto le cappi bob arum. Do not kid yourself mayweather v pacqiuao will generate millions of dollars for don arum and regardless of his posturing, he wants that fight and he will do nothing to jeopardize that fight. Every fight manny fights will be a top rank fighter.(margarito is on the top of the list if mayweather fight is not made ) So either clottey does not have the heart of a champion or his godfather gave him clear instructions, either way i have lost respect for what i thought was the true boxing fan fighter.
Not quite sure what you're saying, but...wrong on a few fronts. I don't think Clottey is what you would call a boxing fan favorite, in fact, he frustrates people who cheer for him in certain fights at times. Him citing injury his hands against Margarito being a cause of why he lost is a little silly, but what are you going to do when you lose these days? Fact is Margarito is a notoriously slow starter who always put immense pressure on late. I think most people expected a WIDE Pacquiao decision but did not expect for Clottey to not try. If you're suggesting that Clottey was given instructions to not do anything that seems pretty foolish as this fight does very little for Pacquiao's career and Clottey didn't pose a huge threat to begin with.
Wait. You gave "serious consideration" to this thread, yet neglected to use proper grammar and punctuation?
The 8-1 underdog was paid to lose? I want that job! How do I apply? By the way, Bill Gates paid me $10 million not to run for president against Obama. He really did!
