    Tommasone was ranked #14 by the WBO, so my assumption is this was a voluntary defense. I can't wait to see Valdez face his mandatory: number one contender Genesis Servania. That will be an EXPLOSIVE (and 50-50) match-up..

    Look at the WBO rankings and tell me what prospective match-up there strikes you as more entertaining than a rematch between Valdez and Servania?

    They swapped knockdowns in a fight that was generally agreed upon to be action-packed...what more do you want, exactly? :dunno

    ...and Valdez has gone through a lot since then (broken jaw, rust, possible regression or at least stagnation of skills) - might narrow the gap and make it truly 50-50. :nusenuse:

    i did see more improvement than i expected in oscars style. his timing and fluidity were off, but thats the layoff and he started looking sharper in the latter part of the fight. he cut off the ring well, used feints effectively, and he didnt get too reckless when he got tagged. i expect a sharper valdez in his next fight, hopefully its against another name.

    Tommasone probably should've saved that proposal for another day.....Valdez got lumped up pretty good. I used to think he was pretty good a couple years ago but he didn't progress like I thought he would. He better avoid anyone that can crack or he's gonna get laid out.
