That's some nice work from Kovalev in the 9th, going backward and forward. He might stop Alvarez the way this is going now

7-2 Kovalev. Kovalev looks like he caught some second wind, just more re-energized, feeling the rhythm, fighting well. Good round for Kova.

The 9th was Kov's best round since the 2nd.. His chin's held up pretty well to Alvarez's power too.

Either he is overrated or he was too overconfident and didn't have a plan B.

Welp two things my friends: 1. Kovalev isn't shot and 2. Alvarez is a victim of his own success.

    Round 9

Álvarez is diving in and paddling the body, then crocodile death-rolling away to one side as Kovalev just misses with some cheeky attempted rabbit punches. Kovalev settles things down at mid-range, controlling Álvarez with the jab, touching him and straightening up, feinting, then scoring another jab. Álvarez now seems the nervier and jumpier of the combatants, being suckered by Kovalev at every turn and tapped with the jab when he betrays his intentions to dart in.

    10-9 Kovalev

    86-85 Kovalev

That knockout win in their first fight has Alvarez fighting so stupid.
