Congratulations are in order. With 4 competing main events last night (Fischer, Shakur, Zepeda, and Diaz-Masdival), I think Zepeda might have won fight of the night. He had a good, capable, and savvy operator in there with Cabrera, a man who not only went 12 rounds with Pitbull Cruz but arguably beat him, and simply walked him down, broke him down, and stopped him in 3. Zepeda is a human threshing machine who fights at a thousand miles a second and throws enough punches to drown even the best that the lightweight division has to offer. In a 135 division which has been red hot for a long while, El Camarón stands out as one of its brightest stars. Enjoy his meteoric rise now, for Zepeda is the man who will be king at boxing’s new oldest glamour division. All hail El Camarón!

Shakur needs to fight him, the winner is the King of Kings. Maybe not P4P the best, but arguably the best Champion in boxing in any division.

I think Loma would be a better win than Shakur but I could see Shakur’s style being more challenging for Zepeda to break down if Kur goes full track star mode. I’d be happy to see Zepeda against any titleist at 135 though and I reckon he’ll unify if he gets the chance to.
