Gamboa has actually learned from his tumbles and become perhaps a more careful fighter than Aguacerito. :think Interesting match-up, really.
Very true, problem is...This is not amateurs anymore, Rios is the bigger man AND Gamboa has bn down by guys that dnt punch like Bam Bam... I just don't think Gamboa, as talented as he is, can hang with probably the current #2 LW @ the moment...
i want to see gamboa first against a decent 135 to tell u how he carries his speed and power up to light weight..he is def a better boxer than rios, but bam bam is make out of iron and will put lot of pressure and impose his size.
He will take Rios to school and win a very wide decision, Rios doesn't have the boxing talent to beat Gamboa, and for those who say Gamboa has a weak chin, check again because I had nevr see him hurt, and 3 of those knockdows were phantoms, then again we have to see the fight.
Gamboa gets massacred in 8 rounds, Massacred! would love to see the fight. Also, Juan Manuel Marquez and/or Guerrero vs Gamboa would be great.
Tough matchup for Gamboa but he could outbox Rios as long as he carries his footspeed up in weight... He has no chance to hurt Rios IMO and I see him inevitably being caught with some heavy shots at some point and not taking them very well. Rios takes it.
