This is ******ed. 1. Mauricio Herrera doesn't have to try to get u to like him. He just had to fight. 2. You don't have to "beat" the champ. You just have to win the damn fight. Not win more. Stupid old adage that should be discarded. 3. While life isn't fair...is that really a valid thing to say to a guy who beat the crisp out of the unified champ n got robbed? Hey kid, life's not fair. Funny how some people are all up on Garcia, even though he only beat Matthyse because he elbowed his eye shut and then went on to get thoroughly schooled by Herrera. Yeah the judges did not give Herrera the official victory but so what, every single person who saw the fight realizes that Herrera won the fight portion.

Garcia has talent, seems to be spending too much time rapping with Broner or something.

I wonder if Garcia is the guy who told Broner he needed a beard if he wanted to make it in boxing?

 

i could care less about the Garcia Herrera fight, but this is the most idiotic statement repeated in boxing. The belt does not do any of the fighting, so that should be irrelevant to the scoring.

if the challenger slightly wins, he should win. end of discussion. No benefit of the doubt. No silver lining. None

Imagine if Usain Bolt lost the 100m dash by 0.001 seconds. Should they give Bolt the gold medal anyway? After all, you have to BEAT the champ clearly and convincingly to win, according to your stupid logic.

 

100m sprint is decisive, while boxing is subjectively scored, with sometimes differing opinions that are reasonable.

I thought Dirrell may have slightly beaten Carl Froch, but that guy didn't come to fight that night he ran, dropped to the floor and moaned during the fight while Froch was the champion. You have to take the belt off the champion, especially when you are in the champs backyard.

Now in this situation, Herrera beat Garcia decisively and clearly, Herrera came to fight and had Garcia on the backfoot and confused. Herrera was the one pushing the Champion back on to the ropes even though Garcia was the bigger man and the bigger puncher. It was a clear robbery. While Dirrel was atleast given a SD loss, the Al Haymon team gave Garcia a controversial and bull**** UD.

As long as Danny got the win, that's all that counts lmao. We understand why you didn't perform better Danny. You couldn't motivate yourself for Herrera after whooping Matthyse's ass. Since boxing started some champs have been given victories in close fights. Check the history of boxing. It's jut a couple of mad Matthysse and Margarito fan. Same ole same ole. Nobody wants to watch Herrera anyway. Good fighter, but he made his bed. He's unwatchable. Keep doin whatcha doin Danny and let them keep crying lol.
