Agreed. A lot of EM fans lack class. Nuthuggers, not boxing fans.

Yep and everytime Marco lost a fight he came looking for his favorite whipping boy, because he knew it was an easy high profile victory.

It's a passionate fanbase rivalry, it really doesn't bother me much. It's like Yankees-Redsox except 10000x better.

Personally it seems like MAB's stock has dropped dramatically and not just with the fans of EM. It's like everyone on this board has some sort of issue with the guy for no reason. I'm wondering if a lot of it is due to the fact that he didn't beat Amir Khan...and lord knows everyone hates Amir Khan.

Naz would have knocked EM the **** out. So would Kennedy McKinney.

They hate him for putting Naseem Hamed in his place, and for not standing there with his tail between his legs when Morales was talking **** about him.

em stood his ground and fought like a true warrior.

whereas, mab to be honest ran to survive. em is the true warrior. i don't really know about the mexicans here.

i hope someone makes a poll for these mexicans and see where em and mab stands head to head.

There's every chance Naz could have knocked Morales out. Erik never backed down to a firefight, and nobody should be trading with The Prince.

Kenny Mckinney gets whooped on by Morales, though. Let's be honest.

What makes you think the result would be accurate?

Morales is the sentimental favorite among the hardcore Boxing fans, and on that basis alone, he'd always come out on top on any poll.

You're reasonably intelligent. You know this.

I don't see why one has to be run down to put over the other but hey, it's a rivalry.

**** it. I think boxing could use more bad blood type situations like this.

A win over Pacquiao is huge in his favour. Also, the trilogy was extremely close, could've been 2-1 either way... or even 3-0 for MAB if you really want to stretch it. Just goes to show there wasn't much in it.

popularity is not just sentiment among the hardcore boxing fans. i am not mexican ok and it would actually be instructive for us non mexicans to see how mexicans view their fighters in their own light since they are the most proximate in their following of their respective fighters.

accuracy is always based on an informed choice. if we have a reasonably big sample size of mexican fans, can you really say that is not accurate?

that is simply statistics. polls accurately predicted obama to win. if fans voted morales as the winner, how can you diss it as not being accurate?

because it is not in tune with your choice? if you voted mccain and since, obama won but in your heart and soul, you picked mccain to be the better choice, does that make the poll and the subsequent election inaccurate?

perception is reality selfkill. there are robberies and outright robberies. but perception of fans here simply reflect reality that most fans think of morales as the better fighter.
