Another one of those Argentinian Welterweight/Light Middleweights
    with a bunch of wins.

Miguel, turned professional in 1966, and by March 1977 was the
#1 WBA Welterweight, and the Argentinian Welterweight Champion.

    The 32 year-old 'El Zorro' had posted a record of 81-4-4 (31 KO's),
and Challenged WBA Welterweight Champion - 19 year-old
Jose 'Pipino' Cuevas 17-6-0 (15 KO's) in Mexico City on March 12, 1977.

Pipino was making the '2nd-Defense' of his WBA Welterweight
    Championship.

'El Zorro' was on a (4 1/2) year unbeaten streak of 36-0-1, and was
positioned as the #1 WBA Challenger, as well as a 2-1 Betting Favorite
    over the young Pipino Cuevas.

It was a battle of 'youth and power' versus 'experience and technique'.

The Argentinian contingent, had already labeled 'El Zorro' as the uncrowned
    Welterweight Champion since 1973.
