Eastman drops a UD to Elcock in Coventry last night. He is the first British fighter to beat Eastman in a 51 fight career.

    Good news in my opinion..........

Yeah your probably right. Eastmans career has been a major disappointment for me. He spent all those years unbeaten and feasting on 2nd and 3rd tier fighters. When he got his opportunity on the world stage vs Joppy in a fight he should have won he spent the time clowning and never moved into 2nd gear until the 12 round. He then went back to beating up cans and everytime his had the opportunity to step back into world class territory his failed miserably. This loss to Elcock surely has to be the last straw

I remember when Elcock was just coming up. I remember when he beat Farnell handily.I remember him then getting blown away by some scottish journeyman in 1 round! My money never would have been on Elcock to beat Eastman by a mile. Props to the guy.His a decent domestic operator but nothing more. Eastmans best days are gone and wasted. He needs to retire.

It was a hell of a body shot to finish the Arce fight, the Sosa fight on the undercard was entertainingt too. That Sosa is a nice little fighter. Surprised they didnt show this though, im kinda glad because im sure the Arce and Sosa fights were more entertaining than anything on that card. I am abit surprised Elcock beat Eastman, but Eastman did look **** against Ashira.

Eastman was overrated but he was decent enough to win a Euro title obviously. Good win for Elcock too.

I don't think McCracken Is that much of a serious trainer though and Eastman was never that serious either as well. He should of schooled Miranda If he was truly world class.

Notice how Hennessy's best fighters are not trained by McCracken. The guys are fit and strong but they mostly rely on strength.

sky announed straight after the ashira fight that they were no longer interested in showing eastmen.I think elcock is a solid fighter but eastmen doesnt seem interested in boxing anymore. He seems to spend most of his time in Guyana and mcracken doesnt seem to care.Theres not a whole lot of decent domestic middleweights around so im not sure who wayne elcock will fight next any ideas.?

As for the Arce fight what a terrific shot.He does seem to be the mexican arturo gatti, takes a tremendous amount of pu nches flush. He seems to be fighting ABOVE HIs natural weight, should stay at super-fly

A good thing IMO, there is far to much domestic boxing on TV. To improve the quality, personally I would like to see one bi-monthly domestic show that SKY can throw decent money at, with the other weeks filled with cheaper imported shows, like the Arce one.

Eastman is a waste of talent. He is strong, powerful and with reasonable speed. With his sort of chin and even heart he could have become a top fighter. His game is WHACK - I blame McCracken and him. He is one of the dumbest boxers around.

Eastman needs to sort his game out, train hard and make use of his talent.

He could have beaten Joppy, he didn't need to lose to Elcock AND his close fights didn't need to be as hard as they were. At the same time he could have made the Hopkins fight MUCH close. He was the younger man and X was fighting a conservative fight. Eastman didn't really want it, it was there for the taken, he just had to reach out and take it!

I'm actually glad Elcock won, despite the fact that I used to be a bit of an Eastman fan. My rationale is not that Eastman was a disappointment, but that someone with a name like Elcock deserves some victories in life.

On the brightside, if boxing doesn't work out and he has to find a job in the Spanish porn industry, he already has an industry name worked out.
