you cant really say much about this fight. the cut was caused by a fight a punch so its a TKO for Elcock. I think Elcock would have won, there might be a re match but there was f all intrest in this fight, didnt they move venue cos no tickets were sold.
The replays showed that it was head-butt that caused the cut, & IMO it was deliberate. Elcock annoyed me at the end by celebrating in the ring when the fight was called off.
I thought it was clearly a clash of heads which opened up the cut. Having said that McDermott's cut team should have been given the chance to heal it up and stop it from getting worse, even if they only had a couple of rounds to do it in.
I was looking forward to this fight so I am disapointed in the events that took place. Hopefully a rematch will be set up but the division looks pretty packed at the moment.
He looked desperate from the very start, nervous flurries, while mcdermott was startin to time him lovely comin in with the uppercut.I fancy mcdermott on what i saw last night, as little as we got to see !
I think that even if the cut team had worked on it, it would've been stopped by the fourth anyway. It was an awful cut, and the swelling was really bad.
exactly. any unskilled buffoon with a sharpened head could cut an opponent in the first round to get a tko. mcdermott doesn't deserve an L on his record because of this.
great statement i though he should of been given a few rounds. he could of stopped elcock in that time
I thought they could have given him a chance. I think they could have stopped the bleeding, and it was well below the eye. At least give them a ****ing chance inbetween the round, and see how it looks
