    As reported by several reliable sources.

    Looks like Alvarez will lose his mandatory status. Gvozdyk will either face someone else in a final eliminator, or be declared mandatory to the winner of Jack-Stevenson.

    I'm hoping they have Gvozdyk fight the next highest ranked boxer.

    Alvarez is rather mediocre, anyway. He's also a bit of a jerk, so I'd like to have seen Gvozdyk spank him, but who couldn't have seen this coming?

    LOL if its true.

    But if I'd be Alvarez I'd go after another belt, cuz there's no way Stevenson fights him, even if he beats Gvozdyk.

    If Eleider goes after Beterbiev or Kovalev he's not scared of the Nail.

    disappointed in alvarez hes been a joke for years now.... as for gvozdyk I stand by my earlier statements about him. most overated fighter on this forum.

    So Alvarez takes step aside money for years and never fights for the belt, then pulls out of the first real challenge against his mandatory status? Jesus Christ get a load of the balls and ambition on that guy.

    And just when the championship belt is around the bend, really. Because WBC will either force Stevenson to fight,

    Don't think anyone is really surprised here, but I'm glad we're finally seeing an end to the whole WBC LHW mandatory scheme that had been going on for years.
    And now Yvon Mitchell says he never received any step-aside money. If true, then that's just really bad management then.
