    I'm glad that Step Aside Alvarez will lose his mandatory position due to this withdrawal. Him & Stevenson have been scamming boxing for years.

    I would rather rephrase "I hope that ... will lose", because I fear they can file a lawsuit now... o_O
    Well, those step-aside money would be a strong "justifying evidence" :) of course, but they could still try.

    Alvarez has disappointed his fans.

    He had no problem fighting faded Pascal or Bute, but now he refuses to fight a prime top light heavyweight.

    This. Alvarez got too comfortable fighting shot fighters like Pascal and Bute. He never had a chance against Stevenson and knew it and also knows that Gvozdyk stops him as well. The only champions he has a chance against are Bivol and Beterbiev.

    Alvarez does not need to fight anyone but bums, he is a Haymon fighter! I will not be surprised if Barrera pulls out of his fight with Bivol, he has been trying..............

    I guess Alvarez weighed it out and the thought of one of the prettiest fighters in the sport making him... one of the most heinous, even heinouser, both by merely sharing the ring with the beauty that is The Nail and after The Nail slices and dices his face to ribbons.... in the end, being rendered an even more monstrous grotesquerie wasn't all that appealing to Eleider.
