I'm not a fan of his fanboy pseudo-journalism, but he's not wrong in this instance. Wilder does many things wrong in the ring but one clean shot from his right hand can change things immediately.

He was clearly losing in his last fight, and than he started catching Washington in the 5th round and it was over fairly quickly. He's not the most skillful of fighters but if he lands cleanly on his opposition, he can knock out even the most talented of fighter's in the division.

 

Duboi is just as much if not more of a threat 4 fights in than wilder is now.As a matter of fact i would put money on Duboi if they fought within a years time bc i seen how Wilder is going to struggle with other power punchers with actual elite skills..if you dont know thwe Hw's out there that just shows you dont actually keep up with the sport.

Making uneducated guesses or wrong accusations where someone is from doesnt win points either..lol

He didn't knock Washington out... The ref merely stepped in because Wilder was almost catching the innocent crowd with his awful windmills... Washington was still very much conscious and moving around the ring...

 

If truth be told... Wilder should be much further away from a title shot (never mind an actual title) than he is.

He has very good promoters...

 

Hes not fighting a title...hes fighting Wilder in this topic,nobody wilder has fought thus far has Dubois skill sets or power,Washington looked more like an amatuer in his fight with wilder than Duboi did in his pro debut..and thats bc Washington is really a football player who learned boxing...Duboi is an actual boxer learning boxing,who will probably develope into a Joshua type learner relatively fast. I have little doubt Joshua while still in his early developements would most likely have knocked wilder out too and defeat the same guys wilder fought easier than he did.

If they sighned to fight 6 months from now i would be kind of nervous if i were Wilder bc in reality despite B.s rankings that WOULD be his most dangerous opponent hes faced,and i would blame my mangement team with such poor decision making in the match ups bc thats important how afighter progresses,hes not actually evolved in the time span hes been boxing,he even self admits that and states he can punch so its irrelevant......oh boy! smh
