It's not a foregone conclusion Alvarez gets past Seals. I mean on paper he should do because he's far more accomplished and skilled and has fought and beaten the much better competition. But fights aren't won on paper and Seals is a huge LHW with genuinely vicious KO power and I've seen Alvarez badly hurt by much lesser punchers than Seals. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Seals is anything more than he is or picking him to win. But his power ain't no joke and he's scored some pretty scary KOs and even in his loss against E-Rod he came about as close to winning as you can come without actually winning and the shots he dropped E-Rod with (at least twice IIRC) were hellacious. Alvarez should stop him but he needs to be wary of that power.
Confident Alvarez would win on point, but he hasn't fought since losing his rematch to Kovalev so we don't really know how well he managed to take the L. Smith Jr has a puncher's chance and would actually try to make the fight interesting. Head goes with Alvarez, heart with Smith Jr !
I like this young man Smith but he is going to killed against even an upper tier midlevel fighter. His power is great but he takes too many punches and can not cut the ring off. I do think though a fight between him and Yarde would be a splendid affair
let's see how alvarez looks vs seals. alvarez looked unintrested in the second kovalev fight and he's been fairly inactive over the years his last win other than Kovalev was Jean pascal before Pascal retired.... (only to come back) Ill say this I dont think smith kos him so it could be a close fight.
