Does anybody know anything about this fighter? Boxrec shows him at 5-7 but that can't be...He went 10 with a 19-1 Salvador Sanchez. He fought Berto sandoval twice and he was a top 10 guy at the time, and he beat Alberto Davila, and you had to be goo to do that. I'm guessing there are a bunch more fights that aren't shown.
Grey, Mexican fighters have the hardest records to solve. The commissions never really recorded anything, so by the time they come north and they are recognised, you'll see the 'first pro fight' being a 10 rounder. They could have had 40-50 fights that have not been recorded. I have found dozens and I send them in to boxrec for confirmation. I have discoverd an Alfredo Urbina fight and a Jose Luis Soto fight recently that is not on their records that I must send in. Moreover, a lot of their fights when they are recorded is by their nickname, which makes it harder yet.
Pretty sure his fight with Sanchez has been out there for years. It's been years since i watched and properly checked through the pre-title sanchez i have, but if it's the fight i'm thinking of he was a typically well-schooled mexican boxer-puncher, just not quite with the sharpness or physical gifts(or maybe dedication, i don't know)to get consistent results against the better contenders.
His second listed fight is a 10...It just didn't make sense, that and the quality of opposition he fought in his 12 bout 'career'. It bothers me that he fought 2 guys from my hometown (or a block over) and I know nothing about him.
