im gonna have to say thats REAL BAD speculation. Errmm, Ward is contracted into a tournament thats prob gonna still last for 2 more yrs. Bute gonna wait that long to fight him? Ohhhh, the IBF just took his belt away for inactivity!!!!

i dunno if he is or not. Most say the Margo win is tainted with the obvous evidence in Margo's hand - what WAS that orange **** in his wrappings? lol

If i was Cotto, i wouldnt fight tainted goods anyway, Margo needs to go under the ground altogether. Cheating shouldnt be ever tolerated, and if a fighter dont have integrity, exactly what DOES he have then?

On the other side, i think Cotto would take on Margo IF the money draw was there, and if he would actually gain something from defeating him. He was looking pretty sharp with a new trainer....

basically '85-'90, up to the Razor Ruddock fights.
Lennox started in '89, so by the end of 1990, he'd been a pro for only 2yrs! Albeit getting in 14 fights, avg 7 fights a yr for 2 yrs.

Man Machine sniffed out a Stinky Trout!

Lets say I mean Tyson from Berbick to Spinks. I think he would of smashed Lennox.

dropping the original subject and making a dream fight,
Prime Tyson vs Prime Lennox Lewis?

Lewis wouldnt duck Tyson. He's the most cerebral technical hvywt ive seen on TV. He would believe in his skills and abilities.
HELLA tough match. If he got the benefit of seeing the Buster Douglas fight, he'd use that as a carbon copy gameplan basically, and win. If not, 75% MT would get a KO....

Lewis was a late bloomer and prime for prime in this case would be like Tyson at 21 and Lennox at 29-35. And in this case, I agree, a hell of a tough match up!

In 1990 though, lights out, I believe. Sooner or later in the fight.

I don't think anyone can really say for sure that one fighter is afraid of another. when a fight happens, barring a random emotional collapse or the clear visibility of extreme intimidation, it plays out to some end that is braver than what normal people do every day. simply going through with the fight is a courageous act in itself and from the outside viewer, the fan, it's hard to sense fear. the fight or flight response, and the fighter's usual choice to do what makes him what he is renders it difficult to gauge, at least for me.

and how can you really be 100 percent sure that one fighter is afraid of another if a fight falls through? you can speculate based on factors surrounding what you know about the negotiation process through the media or the fact that the boxing world may demand the fight, but the truth is, unless you have legitimate inside knowledge, there are a plethora of reasons why any given fight wouldn't happen, and when you're dealing with modern day gladiators, the reason(s) why a fight didn't happen is probably more complex than one fighter being scared.

I know he was a pro only for a year. Anyway, if they thought then it would by a one more regular KO for Mike, I say. I also say he was scared and would be scared untill 1995 had Tyson not go to jail and stayed focused. Fool.
