Elite fighters going down from a body shot?

    You don't see many fighters at the highest level get put down from body shots for two reasons;

    A - Their defence and skill makes it harder for them to be hit by solid body shots which poorer fighters would be open to.

    B - They are better conditioned to take the blows.

    What examples can u think of in which an elite fighter got floored from a body shot?

    Gatti vs Ward 1? (Or was it Ward just got really badly hurt from a Ward left hook to the body but didn't go down?)

    Hatton vs Collazo (all be, Collazo was shot)

    Cotto vs Quintana (not entirely sure about this one)

    There must loads more examples, i just can't seem to think

    Collazo on the other hand, was floored by a let hook to the head early in the Hatton fight and he certainly wasn't shot as Collazo was only about 24/25 years old at the time.

    I wouldn't say it was just a single body shot, but Calderon took alot of them from Segura before being stopped by him. Calderon one of the best technical fighters I've ever seen.

    Yeah, i overlooked that.
    But he certainly wasnt in his peak against RJJ.
