Maybe not the rest of the world, SoG, but New York fans thought sure Alex Ramos, a 16-year-old mountain-of-muscle-middleweight -- steamrolling everyone in the Gloves with a left hook -- was a sure bet to be an ATG.

He got caught flush on the temple, as he was on the way down, againt lb for lb one of the hardest hitters in any weight division in history, and ended up with serious brain injuries.

He had an amazing chin cos before that, he was getting caught clean by hamed, and was taking it and mixing it up with him.

I thought Bobby Czyz had a good career, Tucker did for a little bit but he did have a much better amatuer career.

Johnny Bumphus was a great amatuer but only a mediocre or below average champ

Bernard Taylor was one of the best amatuers ever and a very good pro for a little bit but burned out fast. Gave Pedroza a close fight when he only had like 13 fights. Was whuppin Mcguigan early but burned out by the mid rounds just like his career did.

James Broad- knocked out Marvis Fraizer in the 80 trials and was talented would have been on the team if not for the boycott. Lot of talent but a real fat slob even by todays standards.

:nono No he didnt he was knocked out by a tomato can before his shot against Naz, in fact he was carried out on a stretcher more than twice during his career.
