    A = Elite = regularly putting in elite level performances, the kind of performances that would make one at least competitive against all-time greats at that weight

    e.g. Pacquiao

    B = World Class = regularly putting in world-class performances; typical world champ

    e.g. Froch

    C = Continental/ Euro/ American Level; challenger that typically falls short in world title fights

    e.g. Allan Green

    D = Domestic Level/National Level

    e.g. typical British Champ, typical "up-and-coming" American heavyweight

    E = Area Champ Level

    In between, you get +ses and -ses.

    e.g. Martinez is A-; Bute is B+...stuff like that.

    - "Elite" DOES NOT mean "World Class"!

    - It's all down to level of performance, not names on resume, or "W"s and "L"s!

    :good

    just watch the sport and enjoy it, no need making up stupid rankings or dumb p4p lists.... thats all show. and a waste of time.

    the hw division is the most prestigious division in boxing, and always has been. Pacquiao, Froch and Green couldn't beat Vitali, Wlad and Adamek...

    I agree with this sentiment. Only problem is, when a mate who missed the fight asks you "how good was Adamek last night?", if you cannot give the correct answer: "watch the fight yourself and see!", you might want to do better than "really awesome, dude", if you don't have time to go into many details....

    ...geeky? Fo sho. But it is what it is.
