I think Elite XC will be the organization that will challange the UFC , now with White buying Pride. Elite XC is promoted by Gary Shaw, who has the money ( to get good fighters) and expericance to have good fight cards. Elite XC has a Showtime contract, which is major. They can have cards on Showtime, then major events on Showtime PPV. I like the future of this company , and expect it to grow into the UFC's rival.

I wouldnt be surprised to see good fighters like Tito Ortiz , Josh Barnett, etc, who are on bad terms with White, go to Elite XC.

What is you opinion's of Elite XC ?

All of the cards have been exciting, and I expect to see some good fighters go to Elite XC.

Indeed , K'1 heroes is already a major organization, that puts on exceptional cards. But like Pride , K1 Heroes has little exposure in the USA , but is massive in Japan.

I think Elite XC can possibly rival the UFC in the United States. Which is something Pride was starting to do before unfortunatly White bought Pride.

unfortunantly eltie xc is already in financial trouble, they're publicly traded which will actually HURT THEM as they won't be able to as easily find new sources of cash for operations. they have a few things going for them, as they've bought a lot of small groups and have working arrangements with several other groups, and the showtime deal is huge, something ufc doesn't have which they want. as for the fighters, they've got a long way to go before they can groom fighters to rival the popularity of the ufc, and will have to go along piecemeal with people regarded as ufc castoffs. ufc has DEEP pockets and anyone who's got real potential would want to fight ufc right now as it's regarded as the top level in mma.

I hope elite can compete and keep monopoly away from mma.

Having Showtime is huge! I know that boxing gets a budget of millions of dollars to put on cards for Showtime. I am not sure what Elite is getting , but I am sure it is not peanuts.

You think Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg are great annoucers?

Elite should get Bas Rutten, he is the best annoucer, period ! Elite has the other guy that worked with Bas at Pride, he is pretty good too.

Whith all that you said, I bet you will still watch Elite XC when it is on? It is MMA , the fights are good, and is much better than most other shows on tv.

Wise men would ignore these companies now or face the turmoil boxing is in.

UFC champ is now linear (once the champs unify). After that, nothing matters - K1, EliteXC or whatever these companies are.

Generally UFC is failing anyone, they give the bouts that matter.

You are all helping to bring down MMA then. Pretty much everyone looked at Pride and UFC as the two top dogs. Even you did. Now I am hearing more about K1 etc Admittingly I think I heard of K1 before Pride and UFC but UFC and Pride were the premier players.

Now that they have merged if you all let K1, Cage, Elite etc get big then don't blame anyone in ten or fifteen years when MMA is in the exact same position as boxing.

WBO and IBF should be nobodies but eventually the fighters, fans, promoters etc gave them legitimacy and now boxing is suffering more and more.

Go ahead , be a pawn then. Jesus christ, only watch the UFC, even if there is great fights to watch from another organization. They have had some good fights. Lawler vs Ninja Rua , Frank Shamrock vs Baroni (Great , great fight) , Shamrock vs Renzo Gracie, K.J Noons KTFO of ( Andre Berto's undefeated brother) Edson Berto.

No one is comparing the UFC belt , compared to the Elite Xc belt. Just enjoy the fights, christ. Lawler vs Ninja Rua, and Shamrock vs Baroni was better action then 95 % of MMA fights you will see any where.

Its the same meat diffrent gravy achilles.I dont really care much for the UFC format and will always be a PRIDE fanboy thats my bia. The eastern format is just so much more of a pleasure to watch and Hero`s WILL fill the vacuum that PRIDE left wether you like it or not. They have legit fighters and legit world champions in there own right.

We can all expect a perfect world but this is the fight game and naturally the disparitys go with the territory. No one cares much for Cage rage, Elite XC, but for a dead cert Hero`s can no longer be ignored as a mere freakshow. But by the same token there are some very decent scraps that are happening in other orgs other than what the UFC have to offer. Dana isnt stupid his a smart astute businessman akin to Frank Warren. And i assure you Dana will tread the same path that Warren has.
