    Here is why:

    1. Production: looks like a WWE event...only somehow, perhaps thru the use of black magic (there is no other explanation) more corney, cheesier, god awful, etc. etc.

    2. Fighters: I could just say "New York City Badass" and be done, but I want to add that a) most everybody in your organization is a UFC/Pride reject or b) they are worthless hypejobbed street fighters. I mean Frank Shamrock still fights? WTF? Why not get Helio Gracie while your at it. Seriously, do your talent scouts fish in old folks homes?

    3. Commentors: Goldberg? Is that a joke?

    4. Officials/judges/doctors: Shaw promotions, always doing your part to make Don King look good.

In short, Elitexc takes the worst from professional wrestling (the stupid ass chessy production values), the worst from boxing (intintial mismatches and fixes) and the worst from Al Davis' playbook (get as much over-the-hill, washed up "talent" you can put on a field) and roles them all up, marks them with a "B" (for bull****) and then puts it in the oven for baby and me. Elite XC is a ****ing joke.

I could give a **** about all that if the fights are good. So, obviously last night was a mixed bag. It's hard to say much bad about the Lawlor/Smith fight, except for the ending.
The two females were totally entertaining.

Even Slice/Thompson was fun to watch even though it was sloppy as hell and the skill level was very low. I was entertained, but certainly not overwhelmed.

Goldberg wasn't on the announcement team last night, but I do agree, the event looked like a joke.
