That ****in' ref pulled big country outta a dominant position when he's actually half-way into a Kimura and stood them up????? WTF??? I hat ****in' sucka-ass refs and lame ass crowds.
They where stood up because he warned them 3 times to improve postition its not like he wasn't told to do something, he should have tried improving.
I didn't like the ref breaking Nelson/AA up a bazillion times, but I think Big Country was going to eventually get knocked out anyway. He's a big, plodding tub on this feet, and AA is a fast, accurate striker. Put two and two together, and I think it equals "knockout."
I think people wanted to see stand-up so I think the ref was forcing an action fight. I didn't mind it, the ref warned them and neither improved position either time he restarted so...........whos fault is that? I'd say the guys who didn't improve their positions.
Nice fight for AA. Glad to see the killer instinct there. Shields really needs to improve his stand up and soon. Robbie would murder him. I hope Seth can pull a rabbit outta some where.
I'm not counting on Kimbos fight to be all that good myself. Jake looked pretty average in that last fight, he didn't try much more then that armbar, but I guess you take what is giving to ya. Not a bad fight but the first three where better. now here comes Kimbo next.
Big Country wasn't doing anything on top... meaning, he wasn't really improving his position, or really threatening with a submission... or strikes. I am really not into stand-ups at all... it's a fight. But since there is stand ups, I don't see a problem with the way that the ref handled that fight. Gina looked great... in every way. Shields really showed his BJJ skills in that win. He was really outclassed on his feet, and showed exactly how dominant grappling is. Ninja... good lord, stop blocking punches with your face.
If Daley had any kind of ground game it woulda been Jake's ASS!!! Jake had horrendous striking in a super dominant position. No wonder he has only 3 KO's. Back to Basics 101.
**** what anyone says, you don't stand two fighters up when one is in side control attempting a Kimura. Page 1 in the MMA ref book as written and read by Big John McCarthy.
