I'm happy that Floyd is fighting Mosley, but i'm not going to sit here and act as if this was a fight that Floyd was actually after. It fell in his lap, and he was pressured into a corner to take it.

It's simple they can't. Irrational hate clouds all common sense. :-(

Exactly, I mean we have a damn good fight coming up and the best some guys can do is hate!:patsch

Thats very pathetic when you gotta resort to making stuff up to fit you agenda...Since Floyd and Mosley are getting it on, those type of guys really dont have much to talk about!

Because when asked about a fight with Mosley, Floyd came up with about 4 excuses in 2.3 seconds on why he doesnt want to fight him.

"he's a steroid user, he has 5 losses, he's not a ppv attraction, he's at the end of his career and is looking to cash in one last time, it'll be a cold day in hell b4 I fight Shane Mosley, etc....:deal

The fight with Pac didnt materialize, and an opportunity to Fight Mosley was placed on his lap. There was no other credible opponents for Floyd to face, and the pressure was on him to take it.

    Where am I wrong here?

how is his back against the wall? He doesn't have to fight anyone. Anyone who thinks he's broke is a fool.

He's trying to protect his 0 by fighting Mosley?

    Yea, that makes sense -(

So what about the attempts before...How is Floyd at fault when Shane was the one to decline...So yes, your arguement is wrong!:patsch

He tried to fight him on 2 occasions...you seem to overlook that FACT! Hell, its even on record...So please explain to me how he was forced to fight him?:-(

only because they were being forced by the media and opinions of boxing fans in the forums. if there was no noise of displeasure of floyd fighting m.hatton or malignaggi, he could have easily taken this path. it's good that floyd is a little media sensitive these days.

His fight with Pac fell apart at, and the opportunity to fight Mosley was presented due to Berto pulling out. Who else could Floyd have fought that HBO would have approved, and without being criticized into retirement, Answer?..........Nobody. Not Matt Hatton, not Nate Campell, not Malignaggi, not anyone else.

pac isnt really smaller if they was both fighting at 106 when they were 16 one just moved/could handle the weight better quicker

You don't get criticized into retirement. You, nor I, nor anyone else would have liked a fight like that, but HBO would have still picked it up because he is a big time draw. So he could have went that route and pocketed $5 million or so at very little risk and hoped that Pac would come around and accept testing later in the year.

Instead, he takes the big fight that he and Ellerbe said they'd take when he unretired.
