All Ellerbe and Floyd do is talk about money. I wish somre interview would call them out on their bull****.... Like how Cotto is so undeserving now, DESPITE the fact they wanted him...2 -3 years ago. The less Floyd fights, the more a joke he becomes. It's his fighting that made him great. His career at 130 & 135 made me his fan. His talking only makes him sound like a Paris Hilton wannabe...

did you get to take a look at the fans' reactions?

i'd give anything to be able to interview floyd. i'd be straight to the point like larry merchant. i'd be an ******* with it to.

My thoughts are it will happen when team mayweather says it well, and the fans clamouring for it, the media make it happen quicker. Besides which, as far as I know, there hasn't been an offer made officially as yet. So ducking really isn't in the equation...can't duck what hasn't been offered. Arum is just getting the ball rolling by badmouthing Floyd because he is aware of the bad will and feeling towards him, but he hasn't made him an offer.

i can understand what you are saying as far as arum not making an offer. you're 100% right. however, these clown straight try to discredit cotto like some scrub.

then, they go a step further and say "we're the industry leaders" what a freaking joke. i would love to say Mayweather make an easy $10 million fighting some bum. he is not DLH and he doesnt have the type of fan base he thinks he has.

it's completely absurd to think cotto brings nothing to the table. the way i look at it is that Cotto CAN'T get anymore popular than he already is. he has already beaten the only 2 publicly known fighter (zab, mosley) outside of floyd. if people dont know him now, then himm beating margarito(who the public doesnt know) isnt going to make his stock rise.

I think the more Floyd keeps saying that stupid **** over and over and telling everyone how big he in and how much money he has made and that he's the best ever INSTEAD OF FIGHTING, fan backlash will occur. He acts like he;s such a big draw, but is going after the same cash cow again. DLH could make 10 million fighitng a bucket of water. THAT is a draw. Not being the lesser known guy in two major PPV's.

Being a Floyd fan, I'm getting tired of the excuses my damn self. But he doesn't have me fooled. He might not be scared of Cotto, but he is scared that he has a chance of losing

Nah, he just wants the money. All he wants is money.

I am a Floyd fan, so I'll keep the criticism kind of brief :D I think the less he says the better. When he says he's the top draw, he leaves himself open to people mocking him and trawling the internet to pull up his past ppv figures pre DLH. Maybe what he really means is that Cotto needs to have a significant fan base so that together they can do really healthy numbers, because I'm sure Floyd knows he's not solely the draw in fights. If he does poor ppv numbers, I think his star dims a little. So, imo, he has to think real carefully about the next steps.

I don't think he's scared of Cotto, in fact I think he thinks he's got the remedy to beat him. But yes, it appears there is stalling, but this has happened on many occasions in boxing.

Well, things have changed a lot and he is a top draw now and since 2007, not before.

Of course. He will fight Cotto, or anyone, if it gives him the money he thinks he deserves.

As a Floyd fan I KNOW this fight will happen. The haters here (which I guess are still not over the Hatton debacle) will never be satisfied.

I know that Floyd and Ellerbe know they have a 15-20 million dollar guarantee to wup Oscar again and hope that Cotto looks impressive against Margarito and then the fight is even juicer.

Hate to break this to you Floyd haters but the average person in the states hardly know or ever heard of Cotto.

Whats wrong with maximizing the fight for both fighters financially? They're both still in their prime, Floyd will be what 31 next year? Hardly too old.

I dont' see the big deal but I know I'll post this same message again and again..

For the record I personally would rather see Cottovs. Floyd also but I also know if I were in Floyd shoes and 99% of you all with a brain woudl do the same. I know that I would take the most lucrative opportunity.

DLH (good riddance) will be out the sport next year as a competitor. May as well milk his tired ass for what he's worth..

If Floyd was as smart of a business man as he thinks he is I would fight Cotto and Hoya no question is there so easy. I also starting to like Cotto more and more by the day. He can also make alot of money fighting Cotto, because all the Puerto Ricans will travel to see this fight. With the 100 fans Floyd brings. I still think fLOYD IS GOING TO DECLARE BANKRUPTCY ON DAY

Yeah he will fight Cotto, but he needs to stop making excuses. But Cotto does have the best chance talent wise to beat Floyd. Trust me I be going for Floyd and wouldn't be suprised if its one sided for Floyd. But on paper Cotto is his best match

Floyd is at the end of his career, he already did everything he can do and if it doesn't impress you or others then so be it. Now all he wants are a few more big money fights then he's out. Being super active at this stage is not his intention.

Cotto definitely has a fan base, but imo Floyd thinks it's not enough and he could increase it. He wants millions of PPV buys.

I also think Mayweather is going to declare bankruptcy one day. Well, I don't really know how he spends money, but it looks like he spends a lot.
