PBF sticks to his " I got nothing else to prove..." philosophy, but is having a rematch against DLH for nothing else bit a fat payday. I'm sure that if he made an attempt to fight Cotto, team Cotto would of easily went for it.

No matter as long as PBF takes the winner of Cotto/Margo

Yes he sticks to "I got nothing else to prove" and for good reason, if you followed his career and look at his status right now you'll understand perfectly why. Floyd already made an offer for team Cotto long ago and was turned down even though he was with Arum, the same time he made an offer for Hatton and was turned down. The fight with Hatton happened because Hatton made it clear officially and publicly that he's ready for this fight, what was Cotto's response when asked if he wants Mayweather soon after his last fight?, "Whatever my promoter chooses, I'll fight". Will his promoter choose Floyd?, we'll find out if both come out victorious in their next fights, please remember that Floyd is the #1 fighter in that division and lineal champion, he should be the one contacted, don't expect him to do the challenger's job.

Wondering if those who patronize Mayweather would themselves give up opportunities to make big easy paydays for underpaid, yet "honourable" jobs.

Everyone's entitled to become rich and conceited. Isn't it anywayz what the American Dream's all aboot?

Yeah, it's going to happen, as PBF will exit the sport on his way to being a Billionaire, undefeated and with the heads of Cotto, DLH, Hatton, Corrales, Judah and Baldomir in his trophy room.

Ellerbe needs to go plain and simple.
until that happens we will continue to hear "Money" and not The real
Floyd Mayweather, Ellerbe has been a cancer in Floyd's boxing life.

Boxing is a buisness just like any other sport in the world ... they get paid to do what they know best. I don't see why there is criticism coming any fighters way for wanting to be set up financially ... they're putting their lives on the line every time they step into that ring and they deserve some compensation for it.

Yeah some fans might feel cheated but put yourself in their shoes for a minute ... they have to get what they can ...

Floyd has been working all of his life ... and when I say all of his life, I mean all of his life to get to this point ... let the man make his money.

Wouldn't that be a shame someone criticizing you for taking a job that pays more money ...

    Thats dumb !!

I'd personally want to see Floyd Vs Cotto but I can't knock Floyd. Money makes sense and in his world Money is his wife, children and religion.

It's a tough match up even though he won a very close decision the first time and Cotto still can't generate the #'s that DLH can. So it's not a secret why Floyd chose DLH over Cotto.

For boxing it would be better that he faced Miguel b/c it would be more exciting and Cotto is a champion, but Floyd is near the end of his career and he's more worried about banking up more $$$! since his legacy is in tact he's not motivated by a guy he feels he can beat easily. Put some extra zero's behind the nexxt offer and Floyd would be in the ring with Cotto.

Besides that.....Cotto may not be in the picture for Floyd after Margarito beats him. Maybe we'll see the long awaited Marg vs Floyd fight??? .....NAW  Marg isn't as popular as Cotto even after a win against the very popular puerto rican. But that's anther fight I'd love to see.

I'm being completely honest..and I like Cotto more than Floyd...

Stylistically, DLH is a tougher fight for Mayweather than DLH.

That being said, Cotto is more deserving of a Mayweather fight...no question.

My excuse?? Man please, I'll still want the Cotto fight personally but I clearly understand the MONEY factor.

Are you actually of the opinion that Floyd is truly scared of Cotto, no seriously are you?? If thats the case, where has the OFFER been made??

Cotto's promoter (Arum) is just talking schit to stir things up.

I don't agree with that one bit. So you're saying the two million (US) that purchased: Holyfield vs. Tyson II and Mayweather vs. De La Hoya are all boxing fans??

Ok if you buy that line of thinking, why is it considered anythign generally above 300K buys as being successful for a PPV then? I'm willing to split those two record breaking fights down the middle and say 1 million should regularly buy fights. I mean after all, "they're boxign fans" right??

Speaking of the "million" dollar PPVs number. I'd be willing to bet depending on how DLH vs. Floyd does and how he looks will be the barometer of what they're seeking with Cotto.

I don't care if cotto bludgeons margarito (which I hope he does), a fight with he and Floyd will more than likely be in the 600-900K buy range (US).
