Mayweather made more PPV numbers fighting Baldomir than Pac did fighting Morales. If you want a comparison of how much they can make in PPV google is your friend, compare all you like and be as delusional as you like as well if the numbers don't satisfy you.

Not only that, but Cotto does decent numbers ppv wise which are around 300,000 give or take a few thousand here more or less, while Floyd AND Pac have done more on average in their last 3 fights. Floyd has blown away PAc in terms of total ppv's against common opponents, and Pac fought two of those guys AFTER Floyd did.

Again though, the numbers don't tell the truth.

Looking back at what Pacquiao did years ago is like saying "Tyson would draw against Peter because he made millions on PPV against Holyfield".

What a guy did years ago, has no relevance to how he would draw now.

i cannot find the exact new york post article but there are two sources for this quote maybe said at start of 2008 after cotto defeats mosley.

my opinion about cotto and marquez was they are both the same level. jmm is the p4p#2 at the time while cotto is a well-known welter. let us remember that the floyd-jmm fight was moved to the mexican holiday to maximize jmm's drawing power. and GBP and HBO could have used more money advertising the fight compared to firepower. moving back the date of the fight is huge cost enough.

Mayweather and his people are dilusional. They don't care about fighting the best, they care about popularity without earning it. For a guy as talented as Floyd at boxing, he has very low confidence.

i got his point downgrading jmm and puting up cotto but its normal that higher weight make higher PPV compared to the lower weights. its amazing that pac-jmm made almost 500PPV buys when it was done at 130. besides what is the most cotto has made before pac?

You give a guy with a brain a penny and he'll turn it into millions...you give a drunk a buck, and he'll go get a tall can before he buys a meal...you give a Pac fan a computer, and he'll form an opinion based on nothing!

That Pacquiao/Morales tells us nothing about Pacquiao's drawing ability. Pacquiao became a superstar after beating Hatton. Mayweather became a superstar after beating De La Hoya. Anything before that, has no relevance.

pac's team had already given 147 and 50-50 to floyd. ellerbe still wants more. polls from boxing fans stated that pac deserves more but 50-50 is the way to go. if floyd doesn't want this, he can get 70-30 and fight mosley.

You are confused now, and there is no way that I can unconfuse you, but I'll try. JMM made his ppv numbers against Pac and Floyd who were the draws. People say that the Mexican holiday did enough for JMM to carry the fight. When did JMM ever do a million buys before that? Second, add up the ppv revenue of Cotto(without Pac) and JMM(without Pac and Floyd) and you might see the point.
