True. Before the fight, I made a rough estimate of net earnings for 1.5M buys and it seems it won't generate much earnings for the promoters.

- Purse runs to about $47M (40 + 7)
- HBO 24/7 production cost to about $5M
- How about other fight promotion expenses?

Now, is 1.4M higher than 1.5M which was everybody's most conservative prediction?

 

1.4 mil is a great number. Its absurd that people are thinking 1.4 mil buys is a fail. Floyd Mayweather's last two fights were v two fighters who have never been stars and both fights did v good ppv numbers. way too many people are over estimating 'two americans' facing each other. moseley has never been a major draw.
