How about factual proof they failed

    fail·ure (flyr)
    n.
    1. The condition or fact of not achieving the desired end or ends

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/03/schaefer-predicts-3-million-ppv-buys-for-mayweather-mosley/

No. of buys estimated around 1.4 according to leonard ellerbe and 1.1 according to espn.

    Failure. Cold hard truth.

I don't know what he was expecting, like i said i have no access to the internal predictions of GBP, none of us do, we just have to take a man on his word and in this game we know how much a word actually means.

Bob Arum 'yesteray I was lying today I'm telling the truth.'

That being said I cant see how 75 percent of the forum predicted 1.5-1.6 yet someone as professional as Schaffer would predict 3 million.

I guess we should be doing his job.

Also that the first i heard about record setting for promotion. Is that more spin or facts? I don't know just asking.

It brought in more money on the gate than Pacquiao vs Clottey did it not?

Also can you link me up to the thread where people were raving about it shattering records?

Shcaefer predicting 3 million was promotion.

By saying it will get 3 million people. People look at that and go, ****, 3 million people are going to watch this? I better tune in.

again, you do not know what their desired # was!
you are obviously a sucker for a good promoter, though. You really shouldn't believe many things that come out of their mouths.

It depends on how serious your prediction was. Saying 3 million buys was stupid and put a cloud over the real buys but I'm sure it was more a promotion strategy than a real sales target. It's happened before and will happen again.lol But I don't know why yall are arguing over a technicality. Yeah the fight "failed" to get Schaefer's ridiculous buys prediction but overall it was a big success. End of story.

GBP has only been around a handful of years and they by far pour more into promotion than any other outfit ever has and will continue to do so. If this was the most heavily promoted it looks like money well spent.
