That's just one element to a quite substantial list. I wouldn't want him near my dog, my parents, my brother, my boss, my house, my place of business.............he's so ****ing peculiar that he should be banished right up Floyd's ass.

Yeah...all the Boxing Greats before Floyd didn't measure up because they didn't make as much money as Floyd.

In America, your Dick is not measures in inches, or centimeters: it is measured in Dollars!

What else would you expect him to say?

As far as money. I don't what he is talking about. Floyd didn't "Change" the game. He fed off the game.

the person who changed the game from a "financial" standpoint, is the guy who broke the bank for the first time and showed that fighters can make a great deal of money.
We can go back to Dempsey and how much he made and how he was able to live a more relaxed life-style. For that time period, WOW.

the person who changed the game is the guy who made himself more independent from the promoters and Floyd wasn't the first.

the person who changed the game from a stylistic standpoint is the guy who figured out ducking was an option. Besides the ancient Greeks, maybe for a more modern approach, someone who brought back the "science" of it all or at least put it on the big stage (which could be an example of financial)...might be credited to a Man named Daniel Mendoza or someone of that time.

The guy who changed the game is the guy who took his fight outside of the arena and spoke his mind despite what people thought of him in an era where he could be killed for speaking his mind. A guy like Jack Johnson. A guy like Ali. A guy that will make you think a little more.

As far as money goes with how much he is making...you would have to check how much the biggest Stars made for each fight and if its based on time-period, adjust the currency amount.
One guy you can check especially is Oscar when he had control of his career. He surely made more money than Floyd in their fight. You know, the fight that did record numbers. And the Man that Floyd still partners up with.

He won't go down the greatest. Quite possibly the greatest of his era. The talent pool has been far too shallow in these divisions over the last decade for him to be considered such. If he was coming through welterweight after a dominant run in the lower weights at the turn of the century and he mixed it up with trinidad, de la hoya, quartey, mosely etc when they were at their peaks then he his legacy would be alot better. If he fought Cotto, Margaritio back in 06-07 when they were at their best, williams at 147, then fought pacquaio and sergio martinez his Resume would look far better too.

When you have guys like sugar ray leonard who conquered the likes of roberto duran and tommy hearns and marvin hagler it's hard to see Floyds resume ever matching up at this point.

Not only that, but SRL could fight as a Boxer, a Puncher, or a Swarmer. He was versatile and magnificent. He really understood the art of Boxing!

Mayweather will never go down as the greatest ever. When you compare opposition, its not even close. Other fighters in history lost because they took high risks. Higher risks, higher rewards. Being or retiring undefeated doesnt mean ****. If the greats from the past did what Mayweather did, they would retire undefeated as well.

    He could.

I would love to see him make a late career surge for greatness irrespective of money.

    I won't, but I'd love too.

Self-preservation(a.k.a. my health is more important) was not yet invented during those times as well

Did Ali, SRR, Leonard, Duran, Frazier, Tyson and others ever said that word against their opponents?

Can't leave off Thomas Hearns. He always said the same damn thing about giving people their money's worth every time, and meant every ****in word. He's paid the price for that. For Ali, it was about the limelight and he paid that much more severely. Leonard was about self preservation after Hearns busted his retina up, but his legacy was pretty much sewed up in history already, and he still went on to beat Hagler. Duran couldnt turn down the paydays that came with the big name 80s welters and middles, but that's a Grimey Mother****er and natural born killer.
