Shane Mosley is a fight he should obviously take. He's still fighting a past prime Mosley and will not get credit for beating a prime Mosley (if he does beat him) as much as you want that, because he won't face a prime Mosley. Simple logic. You think Cotto gets credit for beating a prime Mosley?
it doesnt matter if a pac fan or floyd fan says mosely is old. the fact is, mosely is old. no amount of complaining or crying "its not fair" is going to change that. he is still very good and it will look good on floyds resume but do you really think that no one is going to mention his age when talking about the fight in the future. learn to differentiate between hate and plain old truth.
Floyd had been away from the sport for two years he needed a tuneup. Nothing wrong with fighting Marquez for that. He could have ought someone like Gomez for a tuneup instead. He tried to fight Manny in his second fight back but it fell through. Now he's trying to fight Mosley
I had been saying Mosley wasn't in his prime for the past two years or so, you know about before and after the fight in which Cotto gets credit for beating a prime Mosley. Some people were saying he was past it even before that. He tried to fight Shane on more than one occasion before this. As I said, you guys were saying Floyd wouldn't fight him because Mosley was a threat and had a legit chance to beat him, now you already changed your tune. If you don't like the guy fine, but don't crap on the man for foolish reasons.
The thing about this possible fight is that SSM wants this fight so bad that he's probably going to make a lot of concessions that Pac wouldn't have considered in the first place.
Bernard Hopkins hasn't been fighting for a while? Mosley hasn't been fighting for awhile yet both fighters fought hard fights after long rests. Does that mean Floyd is not as great as both fighters mentioned or did he just "retire" to avoid a collision with 3 of the best welterweights at the time? Seem like if it wasn't for the natural disaster that happened in Haiti, Floyd would be looking at fighting another tune up fight since not one single name that was mentioned belong in the top 10.
well, that would be ONE demand, not "so much (adj.) demands" and, yes, as has been shown on this board before and, mr. pac quack had some of his own demands that were agreed to by pbf quickly so, try again
He was old when people were saying Floyd was afraid of him (even like a week or two ago) and not one of you mentioned it. It's the plain old truth you guys are acting like Mayweather stole your girl or something. To give the man no credit for anything is not the truth, but hate.
atsch that is really all i can say he WAS retired, he had a tune up after a TWO YEAR layoff...so? and who was available at WW after the pac deal fell through? please enlighten us? you insinuate that he was ducking top WWs after the pac deal fell apart, so who was he ducking...please, we all want to know.
See there's a difference between Mosley and Pacquiao. Mosley actually co owns GBP and Pacquiao belongs to an opposing Boxing promotion. Floyd can't demand a lot of things to a promotional company that he's trying to use to get a fight. Mosley has the upper hand here. Floyd would be foolish enough to try such a tactic and GBP will not abide to such demands when their own top fighter who also happens to be a co owner will be fighting Floyd.
Lets just hope that the fight gets made. Bar Mayweather Vs Pacquiao it's the biggest fight out there in the world of boxing and I'm sure I speak for all when I say that their the fights I want to see. I know people are always going to find a way to ***** whatever happens, but lets wait to see what happens with the negotioations.
