Wanted to fight Shane back in 2000, and called him out....Oscar made more sense(cents) at the time so he picked Oscar

Wanted to fight Shane back in 2005, but Shane went up to fight Vargas twice instead.

Its only recently that Shane has expressed desire to fight Floyd. He first publicly 'called out' Floyd after Floyd-DLH

Mosley didn't give Mayweather a legitimate offer either, but people still say Floyd was ducking him. Mosley only called Floyd out and there were no proper discussions. Actually Winky said the fight didn't go through, because he wanted 50/50 and Mayweather wouldn't agree. What happened in the past is never irrelevant when there are people out there who are claiming Mayweather is running from someone that he offered to fight.

just by calling somebody out doesnt mean you want the fight , floyd has done this his entire career , come up with a contract floyd , not just words please.

So the first thing you do is hand someone a contract when you want to fight them? Mosley, Cotto, Williams, Hatton, Pacquiao, nor Tszyu had done that for Floyd, so were they not willing to fight him?

It's called leverage people. Does anyone here know anything about business?

Floyd was calling out Shane when he was a youngster and Shane was the bigger star. Floyd was too big of risk for Shane at that time so Shane took other fights. Shane did not need the fight and the risk outweighed the reward.

After a few losses by Shane and big wins/superstardom from Floyd, Mosley started calling him out. Floyd wouldn't give him the time of day because Shane wouldn't give him the shot earlier in his career.

Early on, Floyd wanted a big win against Shane to catapult himself to superstardom. Shane declined.

Later on, Shane wanted $$$ and a chance to get his career back on track. A fight vs the biggest star in the sport would give him that opportunity. Floyd declined.

At this time, the fight makes sense and cents for both fighters, so it will happen. Shane beat the guy who was widely considered to be the best welterweight in the world in his last fight. Mayweather NEEDS a big fight and Shane is the biggest fight out there right now.
