Remigiusz Smolinski vs. Tamas Bajzath, 4 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Smolinski is an extremely tall Pole (no height given but must be at least 6'3") coming off a successful pro debut in December, besting Vladimir Pakanik of Slovakia via 4-round shutout.

Bajzath is a Hungarian ring veteran, average height for a cruiser at 5'11.5" but very tubby and probably more ideally suited to super middleweight or even middleweight if he were fit. Bajzath is one loss away from an even record.

 

Round 1

Smolinski is chasing after Bajzath, dropping the left jab on his guard. Smolinski curls a few right hands around the back of Bajzath's gloves, tapping him on the left brow. Bajzath looks a bit red over the left eye from Smolinski's right hand. Smolinski is content to hop around Bajzath mostly just pecking with long jabs.

Round 2

Smolinski is extending the jab into Bajzath's widow's peak and pushing his neck back with it even when throwing lightly. Smolinski is skidding laterally to stay away from the wild upward left hook and right hand lunges of Bajzath, who is getting feisty and delivering bombs from a guarded crouch. Smolinski avoids everything, sidestepping and countering with underhanded rights on the flabby muffin-top of Bajzath or sticking the left jab in his face.

Yeah but you have to consider in fairness that EuroSport, like BoxNation, shows us deep undercards, generally from the bottom up.

The stuff atop the bill will be higher quality. (though not world class, still miles beyond this).

It's extra free televised live boxing, so we can't really harp on it too much. :conf

I do prefer these formats to Sky or HBO where you get chump-changed with the couple of main bouts and that's it.
