this is a fight that must be made as burns would take him apart AND give burns another year to go after other champions before having another mandatory. perez fought in april there so the fight can be made then hopefully burns can be matched with the ibf title fight winner. would also like to see the fight in the kelvin hall in glasgow as the atmosphere was excellent vs martinez what do you think billy nelson???? ps: good luck with simpson this midweek
Im sure when the fights to happen Frank will do his bit and get the fight in Glasgow hes 100% behind Ricky.
That's Argenis Mendez, Perez from what I have read is a slick but somewhat feather fisted fighter. He has struggled in his toughest fights against fighters that take it to him.
If he's slick he'll probably trouble the robotic Burns. Thats presuming he's actually slick and not just a bad impersonation.
I'm going to watch a bit more of him later but from looking at his record and the reports I have read on him, he doesn't have the power to gain a fighters respect and he fights at a judiscial pace. His fights against his toughest and hardest punching opponents such as Dominic Salcido, Carlos Vinan, Gilberto Sanchez Leon, Dannie Williams have been close and if Burns lets him fight at his pace he loses but if he goes for him ala Martinez he wins.
