After the commercial break they're looking ahead to Krusher vs. Canelo, but no word on whether the co-main will follow or the remaining lightweight 4-rounder (Nicholas Sullivan vs. Gilberto Aguilar, presumably being withheld for a swing, filler or walkout bout...)

Still not even 8pm local time in California, so there could be a bit of time left to kill before the business end of the card...

This is for the vacant WBO International 112lb title, which is usually contested over 12 rounds, but whatever...

Heaven forbid we deprive those kind souls at DAZN another six minutes of Jonathan Coachman being forced down our throats babbling at us about what a hero Canelo is for jumping up two weight classes...

    Round 1

Tabugon is jabbing in at the sternum of Acosta, then ducking away to his left as the Puerto Rican chases after him with a long clubbing right cross off the floating set-up jab. Tabugon is darting in with straight jabs on the body and looping overhead rights, but Acosta is measuring him up and teeing off with counters in short bursts to drive him outside each time, dusting either side of his crown. Tabugon slightly wobbled off-balance from a hook but plays it off well, recovering almost instantly. They clinch and dig body shots on each other.

    10-9 Acosta

Just noticed, for all that Acosta's weight drain troubles in the past down at light fly is a redoubtable talking point for the commentators - Tabugon himself last made the flyweight limit in 2014. :scared1

    Round 2

Tabugon is being turned on the Cerveza Tecate logo and patty-caked into submission, all of his inclined punches from a crouch being picked off by Acosta with a downward slap of his corresponding palm, and usually countered with the other hand flashing out quickly. Tabugon loading up on haymakers downstairs, head and shoulders tilted over his lead toes, making him top-heavy as he leans forward and slings with all his might, but Acosta too nimble, dancing around him, landing pot shot jabs and flurries atop the skull.

    10-9 Acosta

    20-18 Acosta

I'm definitely rooting for Tabugon (although it doesn't seem to be shaping up to be the best stylistic match-up for him so far here...) and even more so for Heno, but - about 99.99% of my pro-Pinoys wish-upon-a-star power is being shored up and reserved for Romero Duno against Kingry. :sisi1
