    Round 3

Tabugon is starting to straighten up from his bent-over low-altitude hunting expeditions, and jabbing up into Acosta's chin, but mostly getting slapped aside, countered, and turned before he can get squared up in front of Acosta. Mostly smooth boxing from Acosta, until the final quarter-minute when Tabugon gets lucky and connects harder as they swap hooks. Acosta is hurt but manages to dance away. Not enough for the steal from Tabugon.

    10-9 Acosta

    30-27 Acosta

    Round 3 Acosta 10-9, close
    Round 4 Acosta 10-9

Acosta really needs to rein in the incessant wild trading.

    Round 4

Tabugon is keeping up a peekaboo as he swings big lead corkscrew hooks up top rising from a crouch, or stays hunkered down with his neck bent upward and targets Acosta's body during his final approach. Either way, Acosta is using excellent foot placement to keep Tabugon missing wildly and lunge off-balance. Tabugon manages to graze Acosta periodically, but nothing solidly landed enough to interrupt the rhythm of Acosta's in and out footwork or discourage him from jabbing and flurrying.

    10-9 Acosta

    Round 5

Tabugon is diving in, his usual M.O., but on this rush Acosta has scouted him and turns over a beautiful check left hook while sliding his feet backward into position and beginning his pivot as Tabugon is still on a forward/downward trajectory into him. Tabugon only mildly hurt, up and chugging away to get inside again. The cobwebs are still there, however, as he can no longer dodge or block a single punch from Acosta. They add up, clouding his mind, and one more big shot from Acosta (the last of a series of left hooks in triplicate, spackled with looping rights in between to hold Tabugon in place) drops him again by the ropes, this one hard and conclusive!

    KO5!!!

Acosta's kayo rate improves to 91.3% (it was 90.91% heading in)

21-2 (21), his only pro bout to go the distance was his loss to Kōsei Tanaka.

Tabugon was last stopped over two years ago, by Andrew Moloney. (and before that, only ever by three others including Luis Nery)

Ah ****, I just heard the ring announcer saying "this is a 4-round attraction..."

That must be Sullivan vs. Aguilar, which means we are in for a wait before the main event.

I always experience a little cognitive dissonance whenever I hear someone pronounce "DAZN" as "Da-Zone", because my brain refuses to accept that pronunciation for it and still thinks of it as "dazzin". I physically can not register it as having an 'o' sound. There's no such thing as implied letters. It's like an inverted silent letter, it's so dumb.
