Anyone here smelling an upset in Nava vs. Pitufo?

    Nava at 126 against a solid 130er?

Yep, I am. I picked Pitufo in the league almost a month ago. Although I am getting cold feet. Because if it goes to the cards, I doubt there's any chance they give it to Diaz.

It's just a random feeling i have. Pitufo lost to Shakur and Ito. Skahur already moved up to 130. And Ito fight was at 130. Ito also moved up to 135 for some fights recently. I doubt we can take anything from those two losses. Pitufo could be ONE TOO MUCH imo. Not picking him outright or going to bet him but it feels like this is a lot closer than most people think. Agree with the take on the cards tho. Doubt Pitufo gets a close fight.

Edgar Luís Berlanga, Jr. wouldn't fit? It always seems like the character limit for titles ought to be longer...and then sometimes I'll squeeze in the name of the broadcasting network and two sets of combatants and be sure I've run out but still have space left over. :nusenuse:

i think diaz, while the better boxer, is too hittable to be able to sustaing navarrete non-stop pressure for 12 rounds. my bet is that navarrete will grind his way to a tko in the late rounds while losing some rounds on the way. he is basically a copycat of berchelt, another big for his weight, huge weight cutter who brings non-stop pressure while disregarding any form of defense, i dont think diaz can deal with that for 12 rounds.

Not only can you not take anything away from those two matches, but also, style wise, they fight nothing like Navarrete. They're both back foot counter punchers and quite elusive. Walking people down isn't the forte of Pitufo, clearly. However, countering people who are walking him down is. So for the people concerned about the reach disadvantage, Navarrete will probably take care of that for Diaz, by giving him ample opportunities to counter. Although I also have a feeling that after eating a few heavy counters from Diaz, Navarrete will decide to keep it at range and do what he did to Dogboe, and combo punch the hell out of him. So the more I think of it, the less and less I believe in the upset.

He claims he needs some time off. However... I think he's trying to ease out the backdoor. He might be outgrowing us.:xqw

Absolutely. Vaquero was lucky to escape RV4 without a defeat and while not quite as skilled, Pitufo also isn't anywhere close to as feather-fisted as Villa.
