He's a cheating douche canoe and the one guy I was happy to see get humiliated on the Shakur conga line.

Bam is pretty despicable, but yeah... easily. I've disliked Valdez longer than I've known Bam existed.

Walsh is pretty good at stringing together punches and seems to have a decent amount of pop on them with okay movement. His main problem is his defense isn't very good. He doesn't really move his head and gets caught coming in a lot, even against someone pretty tired as we saw tonight.

I mean, I doubt he'll ever fight for a belt or anything. His ceiling, self imposed more likely than not, is fighting on undercards as a sort of sideshow attraction. "Come see the grandson of Muhammad Ali continue his legacy!" type stuff. But like I said, a bad defense can quickly backfire on you even with a career built for that purpose.

    Round 1 Melendez 10-9

Mostly a feel out round, Melendez with the better jab, Cortes almost edged it with a few flurries, but they were too inaccurate.

    Round 1 Melendez 10-9
    Round 2 Cortes 10-9

Melendez is landing some really nice counters here, Cortes sloppy and lunging in, not landing much clean. Cortes flurries, gets through with several hooks. Cortes going to the body well late.

    Round 1 Melendez 10-9
    Round 2 Cortes 10-9
    Round 3 Cortes 10-9

Melendez coming forward now, landing hooks to the body and head. Cortes tries to throw combo Melendez counters him. Cortes mauling him a little now. Both holding a lot. Cortes working the body and keeping him on the ropes. Luis takes it back to the middle of the ring.. Then presses forward, but too little too late.

Cortez pressuring Melendez and look like Melendez starting to wilt.
