...and before anyone scoffs at the main event (with Alimkhanuly, highly rated prospect and longtime star of the formidable Kazakh amateur program, vying for the vacant WBO 'global middleweight title' versus a little-known 16-3 Argentinian) - know that Coria took The Russian Wolverine, Artur Arsenovich Akavov, the distance in a close UD10 loss...and is coming off a mild upset over Marcos Reyes.

Don't get me wrong, El Mago should absolutely lose when all is said and done - but it may not be the quick blowout first blush suggests.

Damn, when's the last time you were all-in on a total feather-fist versus a pure banger? :sisi1

RV4 gonna leave Vaquero hogtied better'n any cowboy ever done. :ibutt

Coria by all accounts seems a very good matchup for Alimkhanuly at this stage of his career.

I've never seen you back a featherfist but I see weight bullies are even lower on your register of boxing be's and don't be's.

I've backed plenty actually. Saunders, Carroll and Warrington are 3 of my favorites. Although my hyping of them is fewer and father between than the KO artists, it's not completely out of the ordinary. As far as RV4 goes, that's legit... not just me being a contrarian because I don't like Vaquero all that much. I think Ruben has the skillset to potentially humiliate Navarette tonight.

Actually fair enough, although I wouldn't say Saunders is featherfisted. He seems to have pop when he wants to. Carroll and Warrington are bloody buzzsaws though, I feel Warrington has underrated power as well. I see why you'd like them.
Yeah I can see how a slickster like Villa could expose the flaws of a facefirst brawler like Navarrete.

Agreed, for me all three Brits have what I'd term middling power - whereas Villa, whom I love to bits for his aesthetically pleasing skill-set, couldn't punch his way out from a wet paper 5'7" bodybag. :sisi1

I agree with what you said, but Carroll isn't a Brit (we Irish don't take kindly to that just so you know).
