First time I've ever seen a fighter's top ten of all time w/out Sugar Ray Robinson on it. What a shame.

    Foreman and Pacquiao :huh

    Hagler, but no SRL?

He was a better boxer and athlete, beat him H2H and defeated better fighters (or versions) outside of their fight. I'd put Benitez (38-0) and maybe even '81 Kalule (36-0) on a higher level than just about any of the middleweight contenders Marvin ran through. Roberto Duran was of course naturally better at lightweight, but still world's better at 147 than 160; he didn't "move up to fight SRL" - he was established at the weight a year before they even fought, putting a masterclass technical performance in against Carlos Palomino. It doesn't look good on Marvin that Duran lasted the 15 round distance with him at 160. Thomas Hearns is often regarded as the No. 1 or 2 H2H Welterweight of all-time and was at his most powerful here (32-0, 30 KO) even if he peaked as an all-around fighter at 154. Hagler beat him in his first bout at 160.

    SRL > Hagler.

Agree pac isn't a to 10, top 20? Is a good argument..Tyson top 30 another argument, srl has to be in the 15, not many current fighters I believe are worthy of a atg ranking , as much as I hate saying this , vitali is a top 20 , but I would have Holyfield above him

Its a matter of opinion. I had him top 15 after Cotto and so did many people.

Because he is an active fighter, whenever he does something, more is always expected because he can yet do it. Retired fighters we can properly judge because we cant call for them to fight this guy and that guy. I remember threads few years back asking where would you rank Pac if he beat ODLH, Hatton, etc etc...pretty much what he went on to do. Most said would never happen and if he did, top 10. Some people were 100% certain it would never happen and said #1 cos it would never happen.

And so it happens and people find more for him to do or make excuses as to why it happened, and overtime what he's done is devalued.

I don't think his accomplishments/resume are that far off from the likes of Duran and many have Duran in the top 10.

I have both Floyd and Pac top 25 somewhere for certain, anything higher is open for debate. They both have done amazing things. Not fight each other being one of them...

Having said that I've not personally made a list, just looked at many lists and figured where I would place some boxers and how I would switch positions around. However I'm not a boxing historian either so cant really call it.

While neither Pac nor Mayweather belong in the top 10, I do feel that they will be ranked MUCH higher than they are now once they retire and the nostalgia sets in.

When he retires we will be able to decide where he slots in. Steward knows his stuff and has been around boxing along time. But he also could be caught up in the hype of when pac was demolishing guys. Will have to make a final judgement when pac retires. As he didnt look great in his last fight and if he has a couple more of those it might hurt his legacy.Though if he fights and beats Floyd his stock goes right up again.
