http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BU-DJPHRhu4 Around 4 minutes thirty seconds: "Jermaine Taylor is very determined, and you can never underestimate a determined man. His pride has been hurt and he's been embarassed so he's training very hard. What happened in the first fight is that...Jermaine fights in spurts, he explodes and then he takes a break and then he explodes again. What Kelly did was make Jermaine fight when he wanted to take a break. I still question Pavliks chin -- though he was sometimes off-balance and what-not, he's been down a few times in his career. If Jermaine doesn't hurt Kelly early, it'll be the same type fight again." That last bit, fortunately for me, echoes what I've been typing about this fight up 'till now; that Taylor needs to go for an early shootout because he can't live inside that ring with Pavlik for twelve rounds. Taylor has a puncher's chance. You could say...this interview went as I expected.
I agree, i hope he tries to go for an early shootout. He has the better skill and knows he can hurt Pavlik.
he may have faster hands, but better skill, not true. Kelly has perfect technical skill, Taylor throws wide punches.
When has Taylor shown better skills than Pavlik? In terms of hitting and getting hit, the fight was even. In terms of ring generalship, Pavlik owned the fight. Taylor can hurt Pavlik? Well, Pavlik can KO Taylor so that he sits on his ass for 30 seconds and not even protest not being given a count.
We are talking about the Taylor that has just learned to make a man drop his hands you go to the body?:rofl
