Here are the rules which concerns the judges and the referee: "The Showtime contract, which was signed by all five promoters involved in the Super Six tournament, states: “Judges and referees shall be identified, selected and assigned by the athletic commission with jurisdiction over the Bout; provided that in all events, one judge shall be from the Home Territory of each Boxer Participant and the third judge shall be from a neutral territory, and in all cases, the referee shall be from a neutral territory."
Where's the contract stipulation that no Europeans be present in the ring and judges anywhere near an American fighter?
Kessler better go through with the fight regardless. If not he is a biznatch. Even if he loses by robbery in the first round he is still on an even keel with 2 other fighters and there are 2 more rounds to go.
Should things not change ,Kessler should still fight-but not with the title on the line.Save that one for Froch in the following round.:deal
If things don't change Kessler and his team needs to just not fight. They already gave Ward home town advantage - and this is the thanks? It is embarrasing that the European promoters could read the contract and did adhere to it... while Goosen seems to have to be spanked into place like a little child. Very childish behavior. I am sure this will be fixed, but embarrassing childish behavior.
