Embarrassing: Eurodope just said Hopkins was "boxed from pillar to post" by Calslap

    First of all. I can tell you're a moron. second, I scored the fight for Caslap. Not because he landed maybe 2 clean punches that entire fight to Hopkins 10, but because was more active. But to say he beat Hopkins from pillar to post is ******ed.

    As for only way to beat Dirrell is to throw wild hayemakers, thats not what I said clown. I said the wild hayemakers that Abraham likes to throw, should come earlier in the fight, because if you ever watched Abraham fight, he likes to give rounds to his opponent.

    So learn to read buddy.

    Not really. Considering that compubox said Calslap landed hundreds of punches, you'd expect Hopkins to have atleast a few marks on him.

    Calslap landed a few left hands, but that was it. He won on activety, not boxing ability. Hopkins clearly outboxed Calslap the rounds he chose to engage.

    Anyone could be 46-0 if they fought the Iowa waitresses and British cabbies that Calslap did his whole career.

    Still has no bearing on a Eurodope claiming Hopkins was boxed from pillar to post.

    Boxing ability helps. No schmuk that is simply a punching machine is going to beat Hopkins. Pavlik's punch stats averaged out at about 800-900 a fight coming into the bout with Hopkins and it got him nowhere. The activity comes into it when you've earnt the right to throw them with good footwork and feints.

    Marks have never been a way of judging a fight. Some people mark up easily despite winning a fight comfortably some tend not to.

    So Hopkins just took rounds off despite the fact that his opponent was coming to him, (Hopkins loves that), and throwing punches, winning rounds on activity?

    Hopkins would have engaged at every opportunity was he younger, but he didn't have the stamina.

    It wasn't about choosin to engage, it was about willin his body to do so...

    I though Calzaghe definitely won but both fighters fought the smart way, trying to fight their own fight and stop the other man from fighting his. The outcome was terrible to watch...except of course that we got the Calzaghe bum hump dance, the knockdown and the legendary post fight interview where Bernard tells Max something like "This is my crouch, I won't make you feel it or nothing, Max. But that's my crouch right there."

    Calzaghe was a bad match-up for Hopkins and Hopkins still probably could have won it with more aggression for a few rounds.

    YOu're making silly excuses and you know it. The compubox punches that were counted were slapping punches not meant to do damage but to score points. Basically amatuer punches used to score points not damage.

    Slaps landed a few left hands on Hopkins, but in terms of outboxing Hopkins, sorry. The 2 hardest punches in the fight were landed by Hopkins, and in terms of damage, real punches landed, Hopkins won that too. Calslap just beat an old Hopkins who doesnt have the stamina to keep up with high active fighters. See his 2 losses to Taylor. Pavlik was a different case all together. High punch output, but little in the way of versatility.

    who's 'eurodope' or are you speaking collectively? no body outboxed anybody from pillar to post. bad fight all around where like u said u might have to give it to calzaghe barely simply on punches thrown and "sort of" landed

    Marquez face was all jacked up after the fight. Hopkins looked like he hadnt even been in a fight.
