Embarrassing moments in boxing

That's the one that stands out in my mind. I'm surprised this didn't get picked by more people. It was one of the wierdest things I've seen in boxing, and had to be very embarrassing to look back on by McCall.

 

that wasnt embarrasing it was great whenever mundine shouts how great he is i just turn on youtube, search "mundine ko" and play a 18 second replay of ottke tapping his head and him being layed out cold

that made me sick to the pit of my stomach.

i was only 1 when it happend but when i was "awakened" (when i started to watch boxing as my fav sport) i was trawling through youtube and found the whole fight.

great fight 2 superbly matched opponants it comes to the 12th round and i didnt think taylor was that far ahead but as merchant said if he is up then he wins the fight so the end of the 11th round comes along.Then i heard that from duva and i was like "YOU ARE ****ING NUTS", "DONT LISTEN MEL DONT LISTEN", "RUN TAYLOR RUN!!!!"

i admire duva he is a great man he is almost awarding of a film about him but for what he has done as a corner man is awful as a coach great but on adviceatsch

Oh yeah and who can forget him "stealing" the belt from Valuev

 

i kinda feel the same...everyone knew his only way of winning was to knock him out....that in itself was a very tall order. after the first 3 roudn you knew he wasnt goign to chin him.

i think the merics are more pissed at the english support booing there national anthem:huh

A few spring to mind....

Mike Tyson getting KO'd by Danny Williams, embarrassing, and one of the saddest sights I've ever seen. When you're as old as I am and remember the guy at his best, seeing him just lay there and give up against a bum was dreadful - I suspect the McBride fight was even worse but I've never watched it, and don't want to either.

Another Tyson one, when he lost to Lewis and sucked up to him in the post fight interview, wiping blood from Lewis and stuff, that was just cringeworthy.

Alan Minter getting the **** beaten out of him by Hagler after saying he'd not let 'that black man' take his title....even more embarrassing were the crowd scenes afterwards, a true disgrace and it soured Haglers mind towards the UK for years, can't say I blame him.
