This happens a lot in boxing, because there are a lot of "world" titles. It's nothing new. Look at Andre Dirrell, not everyone was sure he was world class, until he hung in with Froch and outboxed Abraham. Now no-one disputes his ability. Sometimes these kind of career rushing tests work, sometimes they fail miserably.
Jacobs is either weak chinned, or tight at the weight, either way it's highly unlikely he will be a top bracket fighter at 160.

 

I dont think jacobs did that badly, he didnt look completely comfortable and the shot probably came to soon for him, but no big deal
