EMD Stream: Arnold Steven González vs. Akashdeep Singh & Fahad Mulindwa vs. Mohammadullah Karimi RBR

2-2 or 3-1 for Singh. González pressuring and working the body from a peekaboo, but not terribly effective and trying for too much headhunting despite landing next to nothing up top (can't reach and Singh is leaning/rolling away or picking off shots)

 

González had a strong 5th, plugged the body consistently while Singh stopped moving as much and tries unsuccessfully to clinch.

 

Commentators unable to stop talking about the blockbuster Hitman vs. Arabian Warrior announcement, completely ignoring the fight in the ring.

In fairness I found it a bit distracting (and have been tweeting nonstop about it) myself.

 

González ripping the body with pair or triplets of hooks & uppercuts. Singh gasping, countering with jabs and flurries to escape the ropes, and draping his arms over González when he can to smother.

 

González with three in row (5th-7th) and now pulling ahead.

 

Pace slowing in R8 but they're both throwing full-power...just fewer & further between. 1-2s from Singh attempting to maintain distance, while González presses in and tosses high jabs & hooks at the jaw now that Singh's arms are mostly being carried low. Singh complained about rabbit punches a few times while bending his neck and ducking low to grab.
