What exactly is Sambo? Anyways, I really like how Emelianenko doesn't limit himself to one sport. Shows what a true athlete he is :)

That is why Fedor may well never appear in UFC.

Dude these guys that participate in Sambo are not professional athletes, most of them have regular everyday jobs.

The sambo issue got worked out; the only reason it isn't happening is that M1 wants to "copromote" the whole event, despite not having a promoters license or having anything whatsoever to offer Zuffa in terms of actually adding value to the event.

"Copromote" basically means take half of everything for doing nothing; I wonder if Affliction would reccomend "copromotion"?

Yea because bringing in Fedor is not adding VALUE to an event. :good

it hardly makes sense that whole organisations represent one decent fighter and expect to take half. it might make sense for strikeforce but not for someone like the ufc. ufc is a brand that dana has to concentrate on.

fedor vs brock could be the biggest fight ever. on that stage, after all those years of work, i doubt ufc want to share the fame with some small time org.

Obviously I ment as a "copromoter"; they bring nothing to the table.

When Mayweather and Pacman fight, the money will be split 50/50. Why should the takings not be split 50/50 for a Lesnar - Fedor fight? M-1 represents Fedor and a Fed-Lez bout will smash all previous MMA records for money generated so a 50/50 split sounds like a fair deal to me.
Also, MMa is getting too big for UFC to control, the sport needs to become more about the fighters and less about the organisations. What is it with need for numbered events? What is wrong with using the fighters names to promote a fight and not the UFC brand?
As a boxing fan i'm not sat around waiting for GBP 129 or BobArum 348 or Frank Warren 287 am I? I'm waiting for Mayweather- Pacquiao! This is the direction UFC should be trying to move the sport into and gradually move away from the WWE business model because it will NEVER support a legitimate sport....

Yah M-1 Global has no idea what they are doing.

    http://mma.fanhouse.com/2009/11/30/m-1-global-strikeforce-over-25-million-watched-fedor-vs-roger/

Just because a company isnt from America UFC fan boys love to bash M-1 Global. They do shows all over Europe and Asia. 25 million people watched strikeforce show only 5.5 million from the United States. M-1 Global was able to get Strikeforce on Russia Biggest channel, Korea, and many many more countries.

Keep doing what you do Fedor, American UFC idiots will never understand there is a big world outside of the U.S. borders.
