I do love boxing history. Enjoy watching old fight films. I've always about known about Emile Griffith being a great boxer. For some reason I haven't really viewed enough of his fights to judge or rank him compared to other very and greats around his weight class. I did recently watch his 2nd bout against Benvenuti. What made him a great fighter? What were his weaknesses? How does he rank Alltime at Welterweight? Middleweight?
Great great fighter. After Paret he became a bit boring settling for decisions. At his best hes right up there with anyone. Superb skillset
Is it fair to say he had good power at Welterweight before losing his finishing instincts after Paret?
