Damn, RIP champ. The guy had a hard career and harder life, but he was among the best ever in his weight range during a talent-laden era.
Please no tasteless gay jokes or disrespectful comments regarding the Paret rubber-match. Mods, ban on sight, please.
I'll check this when I'm back and clean house if necessary. Dude was an ATG, and on this site, deserves nothing but the appropriate props. RIP
Great fighter. The word "great" is thrown around too easily these days but it's a fair description of Griffith. Ring of Fire is an outstanding documentary about his career and life.
Doesn't specify a source; but if this news is indeed true, then we've lost one of the ten best welterweights and fifty best fighters to have ever laced up the gloves. RIP
